Patient meals are an integral part of treatment hence the provision and consumption of a balanced diet and essential to aid recovery.

Department of Nutrition and Dietetics takes the complete care of the nutritional requirement of the patients. Nutritional Assessment for inpatients and outpatients, prescribing the diet based on the clinical condition and advising the right diet on discharge are the main functions of the department. Dietician works in collaboration with the treating doctors, where they plan the diet after discussing the patient’s condition with the clinicians.

This department also supervises the food preparation in the kitchen. Food tasting is carried out before dispatching the food to the patients. Food handlers are also monitored by the dietician. Issues related to cleanliness and hygiene is reported by them to the kitchen and hospital operations team for the corrective and preventive action.

For guests, we have cafeteria located at ground floor available for dining and different snacks during the day. We normally do not give option to dine in the patient’s room.

We also have dining area in basement for those – relatives who prefer to have home cooked food during their stay in hospital.
